The work you will perform will be a combination of utility improvements and public enhancements in the Palm Desert and Texas area, as well as residential and commercial developments in the Same area. Additionally, work may include plan checking with local agencies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring solutions align with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines while delivering high-quality results.
- Design various structural systems, including retaining walls, sound walls, culverts, underground vaults, and conduit supports.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers and designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional growth.
- Manage and resolve complex technical issues while providing expert guidance and support to project teams.
- Execute complex assignments related to planning, design, and preparation of construction documents for projects.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to project proposals, cost estimations, and client presentations to secure new work for the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is required.
- Minimum of 5- 8 years of experience in civil engineering.
- Plus: Local experience in Palm Desert, CA, including work with local agencies and/or Caltrans.
The pay range for this position in California is $105,000 to $115,000 per year. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
