Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- General support of shop and field projects for LNG and natural gas plants
- Selects equipment, components, valves, flanges, and plans layout for assembly
- Lays out, positions, aligns pipe, and helps to fabricate components
- Bolts and clamps to secure in position for welders
- Pressure testing of pipe used for installation at gas plants
- Repairs assembled pipes by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling
- Equipment operation (e.g. lulls, lifts, fork trucks, etc.)
- Drive trucks and/or trailers locally and occasionally to jobs sites
- Will be required to travel in support of construction projects in the field up to 30%
- General labor support for shop and field operations
Qualifications
Specific Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers
- Experience in the LNG, natural gas, petrochemical, oil, or power system industry
- Knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Processing softwar
- General aptitude and knowledge of tools that support fabricate and construction efforts
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience in the piping industry and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
