Job Summary
We are seeking a Veterinarian/Medical Director who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and leading our team to success. This is a unique opportunity to join our practice as a Medical Director, where you will have the autonomy to manage your own medical caseload while partnering with a Hospital Manager to run the site.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgery
- Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Lead and mentor our team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to achieve exceptional performance
- Partner with the Hospital Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Foster strong relationships with our clients and partners
Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Washington
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a veterinarian, preferably in a leadership role
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Passion for delivering high-quality patient care and commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Work Environment
Our clinic has been established and well-loved in the community for decades. We foster long-term relationships with clients and welcome new ones. We employ licensed veterinary technicians and schedule one tech and one assistant for each doctor on surgery days. We have amazing equipment to make your day flow smoothly (digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, etc). We invest in new equipment, medications, and special "asks" for you to practice your best medicine.
Personal Time Off
You will only work 3-4 days a week (unless someone else is in need of a break; we cover for each other's vacations). You will also have Saturday rotational shifts once a month. No on call, emergency after hours, or Sunday requirements. You can enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, climbing, biking, and all other forms of general exploring you can dream up.
Salary : $50,000 - $140,000
