Peotone Animal Hospital is looking for a passionate Managing Veterinarian to join a well-established practice situated south of the Chicago suburbs in Peotone, Illinois. This hospital has been part of the community for over 60 years, consisting of 90% small animal and 10% food animal / equine. Our valuable team includes four certified veterinary technicians who help support our multi-doctor practice.
Our well-equipped hospital includes :
- 4 exam rooms
- Surgical Suite
- Ultrasound
- Surgical and therapeutic lasers
- Sonoscape S8 ultrasound,
- Idexx portable rectal ultrasound
- Digital radiography
- Digital intraoral radiography
- Midmark mobile dental unit
- A complete Idexx CBC and blood chemistry station
Job Summary
The Managing Doctor is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Managing Doctor is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered.
In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Managing Doctor is responsible for the financial performance and general operations of the hospital under the guidance of Divisional Leadership. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Managing Doctor are responsible for cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment.
