About Animal Care Clinic North
We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our AAHA accredited hospital located in Elkhart, Indiana. Our full-service animal clinic provides quality care and medicine for Small Animals and Exotic pets (Birds, Reptiles, Pocket Pets).
Our Hospital
We have a state-of-the-art facility equipped with digital X-ray, radiographic consultation through Pet Rays and Idexx, Aloka Alpha 6 Ultrasound, and in-house Idexx Catalyst / Procyte / Snapshot DX labs.
Job Responsibilities
- Buildd rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to their concerns.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
- Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
- Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make sure all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
- Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
- Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
- Present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Basic Qualifications
- Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program.
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Indiana.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
