Warehouse / Forklift Driver - Full Time

Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to handle the shipping and receiving of freight for the NVC Express Warehouse . Working under direction of Assistant Operations Manager.

Accountabilities & Essential Functions

• Prepare outbound shipments for over the road travel.

• Receive and identify inbound freight for placement in warehouse.

• Update all required databases.

• Process all required paper work.

• Stage routes for next day deliveries.

• Manage and maintain Facility and Parking Lots—Remove all debris.

• Communication with fellow warehouseman to ensure that all work is completed as quickly and as safely as possible.

• Responsible maintaining cardboard upkeep.

• Routinely inspects and maintains the building and grounds, performing routine cleaning, painting, plumbing, changing of light bulbs, warehouse clean up and other related maintenance activities.

• Perform basic exterior maintenance of property grounds, i.e. landscaping, sweeping, etc.

• All other work as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to faxing, filing, photocopying, and answering phones. Other maintenance duties.

• Able to manage difficult freight situations.

• Forklift experience necessary. Certification a plus

• Willingness to get the job done and able to multi-task.

• Able to work independently in a fast paced environment.

• Forward thinker who is detail orientated.

• Able to lift 75 pounds

• Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience: One (1) plus years of warehouse experience. Exposure to Transportation, Logistics, Service or closely related labor-intensive industry preferred.

• Company Qualifications: Valid clean NJ/NY drover’s license & record, background check and drug screen.

• Other Requirements (Licenses, Certifications, etc.): Valid clean NJ/NY driver’s license & record.
