Job Summary:
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing compliance aspects of the company's auto warranty programs. This includes ensuring contracts are written and executed in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal policies. The role involves conducting regular audits and staying updated on industry regulations to mitigate risks and ensure best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local regulations related to auto warranties to ensure company adherence.
- Contracts: Responsible for rewrites/revisions of contracts. Submit completed and compliant contracts to appropriate state regulatory bodies for approval and filing.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Audit and Review: Conduct regular audits of warranties and processes to identify potential compliance issues and areas for improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify potential compliance risks within warranty operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on compliance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as legal, customer service, and claims processing, to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, preferably within the automotive or warranty industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to auto warranties and consumer protection.
