What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Technician position at NVR, Inc.?
NVR is looking for intelligent, highly motivated, positive, results-oriented Architectural Technician to join our Architectural Services Department. You will be part of the team responsible for developing the construction documentation and programming used throughout the sales, permitting, and homebuilding processes for our homebuilding brands : Ryan Homes, NVHomes, and Heartland Homes .
You will learn all aspects of the product development process as part of an energetic culture where we thrive on teamwork, collaboration, and innovative ideas. The process will allow you to make a meaningful contribution to the company as you participate in the creation of the 3D building information model (BIM) within AutoCAD. This includes structural analysis, floor and roof framing layouts, plans, sections, elevations, developing and reviewing shop drawings, and panel fabrication layouts. Once product development is complete, you will have the opportunity to assist homebuilding teammates in resolving permitting and inspection issues and respond to questions from the field.

What you will be doing :
- Assist in the creation of complete 3D building models using industry-leading software
- Develop highly detailed and accurate construction documents and wall panel fabrication designs
- Consult with structural and mechanical engineers
- Develop plans, sections, elevations, and framing plans
- Maintain project schedules
- Collaborate with a small team of highly skilled colleagues to complete projects
