What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Mechanic Technician position at NW Industrial?
NW Industrial Staffing is seeking an Auto/Service Mechanic for family-owned Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer, Heavy Duty Equipment, and Automotive Repair Shop. This is an excellent opportunity for an auto mechanic to get more hands-on experience with Light Duty Diesel and trailer mechanics. Lots of opportunity to increase their skill set by working on a large variety of vehicles of different brands, weights, and devices.
What we are seeking:
- 3 years as a fleet mechanic, auto mechanics.
- Great working knowledge of internal combustion engines, (both gas and diesel).
- Perform repairs and maintenance for cooling systems brake systems, suspension, exhaust, clutches, differentials, transmissions, air conditioning systems.
- Previous experience troubleshooting issues and malfunctions using various tools and computerized testing equipment.
- Perform repairs and confirm diagnostic repairs are completed to customer satisfaction.
- Have great communication skills in writing and verbal.
- Proves experience being safe on the job using welding equipment and tool usage.
- Must be able to perform work in a timely manner and meet company standards.
- The ability to lift 50 lbs. on a semi-consistent basis.
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift, push, pull and stoop for an 8 to 10-hour shift.
- Have a great work ethic and proven ability to show up every day and on time.
JOB DETAILS:
- Location: West Eugene, OR.
- Shifts: Days and Mid-Shift
- Hours: Vary (Days is 6AM to 4:30 PM) (Mid-Shift is 11AM to 9:30PM)
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday with OT on Fridays as needed.
- Pay: $26/h to $28/h
