Cost Estimator/Project Manager Responsibilities
Estimating
- Create conceptual and detailed cost estimates using input from stakeholders, engineers, and team members.
- Visit jobsites to evaluate potential project costs, value engineering ideas, and meet with clients.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for accurate cost assessments.
- Research market trends to identify material and labor cost drivers.
- Build client relationships and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Coordinate and collaborate across multiple civil, government, and commercial projects.
- Work with project leaders to manage submittals, meetings, and communication.
- Oversee project planning, coordination, and quality control.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and address issues proactively.
- Develop bid packages and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals.
- Perform take-offs and quantity calculations for various construction types.
- Collaborate with contracts team to manage project changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. At least 10 years in the construction industry with at least 3 years in a senior construction role preferred.
- Experience in construction estimating and project management.
- Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, Heavy Bid, job costing, budgeting, and contract management.
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and leadership skills.

Salary : $130,000 - $175,000
