Our client is looking for an experienced Territory Sales Representative to join their team! As a leading dealer of specialized equipment, they are expanding into the utility sector. With five locations across the U.S., they serve major municipalities and contractors and are focused on growing their customer base within both private and public utilities.

LOCATION: Portland, OR
SALARY: $36 Base salary commissions ($100 -$175K)
SCHEDULE: Full-time, day shift
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs, building long-term relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless support and communication.
- Represent the company at trade shows and events, demonstrating products to potential customers while actively prospecting and expanding accounts through cold calls, visits, and networking.
- Manage CRM data, track client interactions, and work with the team to identify growth opportunities and deliver tailored solutions that exceed sales targets and drive business success.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience, ideally in utility equipment sales, with a proven track record of driving sales and expanding customer relationships.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance, with the ability to obtain a CDL within 3 months for equipment demos.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for product presentations, demos, and building long-term customer relationships.
- Experienced in preparing sales quotes, bid specs and managing cold calls (phone and in-person) while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Skilled in understanding and explaining complex products and collaborating with teams to deliver tailored solutions, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The role demands physical stamina, as you will be required to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds regularly, ensuring safe handling and transport of equipment and materials as part of your daily responsibilities.
- Overnight travel will be necessary for company meetings and industry events, with approximately 8-10 nights of travel per year, offering opportunities to engage with teams, clients, and key industry stakeholders.
