LOCATION: Forest Grove, OR
SALARY: $25.22/hr $1.50 shift diff ($26.72)
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, 12pm to 12am, rotating compressed schedule, Temporary-to-Hire

THE ROLE
The Process Operator will work within a small team to gather samples, document, and report inefficiencies throughout a chemical purification process. They will be required to wear personal protective equipment and work closely with the lab to ensure proper readings and reporting to a team of engineers..
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and procedures, taking immediate corrective action when necessary.
- Provide effective written and oral communication during shift handovers to relay routine and non-routine issues.
- Collect and deliver process samples to the lab.
- Perform maintenance tasks, coordinate with outside vendors, and verify completed maintenance work.
- Monitor and accurately record temperatures, pressures, and flow rates for operational trends.
- Utilize process control computer interfaces to maintain target variables.
- Conduct production quality control checks and ensure plant purification parameters are met.
- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and support team members when problems arise.
- Maintain proper documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Communicate with engineers, maintenance technicians, and lab technicians to identify and schedule maintenance activities.
- Take personal accountability for continuous professional development.
- Participate in training sessions and respond to emergency situations as required.
- Comply with all operating policies and procedures.
- Keep workstations free from hazardous materials.
- Maintain awareness of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND MUST-HAVES
- 2 years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
- 1 years experience forklift operation
- Must have clean room environment experience
- Valid Drivers License
- High school diploma (or GED equivalent).
- Must be able to read, speak, and write English fluently and understand operation procedures
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test examination
