Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground telecom lines and systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and schematics to ensure the accurate placement of underground cables.
- Manage daily operations on job sites, including coordinating equipment and materials, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices, ensuring a safe working environment for the team.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of each project.
- Monitor crew performance and provide guidance and training as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to telecom systems and infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and work completed.
- Inspect work quality and ensure it meets industry standards and client specifications.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in underground telecom installation or related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
-Skills: Strong knowledge of underground cable installation, fiber optics, and other telecom infrastructure.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety standards for underground telecom work.
- Certifications: OSHA certifications, First Aid/CPR, and any other relevant industry certifications are preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, lift heavy equipment, and perform manual labor as needed.
