Position Summary The Senior Lead Counsel for Strategic Initiatives will drive litigation policy strategy internally and externally for Walmart’s litigation team.What you'll do Develop and implement Walmart’s litigation policy strategy.Develop short-term and long-term public policy and litigation strategies.Work with internal stakeholders such as Corporate Affairs to direct strategic legal initiatives.Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders regarding litigation policy.Supervise in-house lawyer(s) assigned to litigation policy.Educate internal clients and external stakeholders on a range of federal and state legal policy issues.What you’ll bring : Experience as legal counsel in-house, at a non-profit, or at a federal or state government agency with experience in developing and implementing legal policy strategies.An understanding of litigation and public policy factors affecting the litigation environment.Significant experience leading complex strategic initiatives involving many different internal and external stakeholders.Experience managing a team, including cross-functional teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills.The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
