Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and machinery by performing both preventative and corrective maintenance. You will troubleshoot mechanical issues, conduct inspections, and replace faulty parts to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have experience working with engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, along with a strong understanding of safety and maintenance protocols. You will work closely with the production manager and shop leads to ensure equipment compliance. Duties
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments and orders parts that are out of dimension.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
- Able to lift 75 lbs. or more.
- Have good critical thinking skills.
- Have experience in maintenance functions.
- Have good organizational skills.
- Have effective communication skills including verbal and written.
- Must conduct work in a safe manner including choice and use of tools, positions, lifting, lockout/tagout.
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Electrical background a plus.
