Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, organized and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to support our HR operations and ensure compliance with food safety standards across our agriculture operations. This role will assist with employee relations, workers' compensation, health insurance benefits, employee safety programs, and more, while playing a crucial role in maintaining a positive and compliant work environment.
Key Duties
- Maintain employee records ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist with health insurance enrollment and benefits administration.
- Coordinate employee training sessions and track compliance.
- Organize employee events to promote morale and a positive work culture.
- Implement and maintain food safety standards, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
- Conduct training on food safety, including agricultural practices, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Perform inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
- Develop protocols for food safety incidents and ensure timely responses.
- Collect drinking and irrigation water samples
- Assist with workers' compensation claims.
- Assist with H2A recruitment, interviews, and hiring qualified applicants.
- Handle employment-related inquiries and refer complex matters as needed.
- Perform clerical duties (photocopying, scanning, mailing, etc.).
- Ensure orchard information boards are up to date.
- Assist with accident reports and safety violations.
- Actively monitor workplace hazards and report or address them accordingly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall efficiency of HR operations, employee safety and food safety management.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Gmail, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in managing records and compliance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and meet insurability requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Flexibility to work nonstandard hours and travel as needed.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors with exposure to elements such as sun, wind, snow, cold, smoke, dust, and rain.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in Human Resources (HR) or Food Safety is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., Harmonized GAP , HACCP) is a plus.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
