Position Summary:
We're looking for an exceptional Payroll Administrator to join our team in our corporate office located in Frisco, TX. NWH is a multi-state employer with employees in WA, CA, OR, MI, CO, and several other states and Canada. The position is a hybrid position working in the office Tues-Thurs and remote Monday and Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly multi-state payroll and Canada. Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Calculate and process self-insured short-term disability plan payments. Work closely with the HR team to administer and support all HR system technologies and enhancements that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and related reports ensuring all tax reporting is filed accurately and timely. Generate reports as needed for finance, human resources, and third-party vendors. Perform other HR and payroll-related duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or four years of equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with payroll benefits.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of UKG PRO software and Cognos reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry.
- Benefits experience and knowledge is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Advanced level experience with UKG PRO, Dimensions, and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Excellent understanding of payroll systems, data workflows, and root cause analysis. Strong Communication and Business Partnering skills along with general payroll protocols, and Federal and State regulations.
