NWI Aerostructures is currently hiring a Form Operator at the Nashville, TN location.
NWI Nashville LLC manufactures complex aerostructure components of commercial, business, and military aircraft worldwide. We specialize in complex, structural and mechanical assemblies, machined components, and sheet metal fabrication.
Occupation Summary
This occupation requires the science of forming the various metal, such as extrusions and sheet metal by methods of peening, saturation peening, and hot forming and as well as hand forming.
Work Performed
Set up and operate various power and manual fabrication machines, such as shot peen creasing, hot form and arbor press to meet engineering specification. Finishes parts that are partially formed by other operations.
Calculates the areas of the parts requiring the bending to overcome springback. Metal tag parts as required.
Performs duties incidental to the accomplishment of the assigned task.
Uses such typical equipment as lift truck, crane and scooter to load, move, unload and position tools, parts or materials.
Computer proficiency to navigate systems for labor charging, access work instructions, record completion of work, TC1, MES, PII’s, etc.
Each employee will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and housekeeping in his work area as directed as well as assuring the accuracy of their work.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have two (2) years shot peening or saturation peening and/or 2 years of other metal forming experience. Certification from the TCAT Collision Repair Technology Program would also be acceptable.
