What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Draw Inspector- 1099 Contractor position at NWM Risk Management?
A leading construction consulting company is seeking a consultant to assist with site inspections loan monitoring for their commercial projects. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule.
We look for people that have:
- Minimum 5 years as a commercial draw inspector with a degree in architecture, engineering, building construction, building management, or similar. OR min 15 years in the commercial construction industry as either a project engineer, project manager, or superintendent
- Strong narrative writing and communication skills
- Punctual with appointments and deadlines
- Computer skills- including Word, Adobe, Excel
- Great attitude with a willingness to be flexible with hours.
- Ability to complete take offs as required- multiple scopes.
- Experience with preparation, review, and approval of pay applications.
- Working knowledge of construction processes, building materials and methods of design and construction.
Responsibilities and Duties
Verifying monthly billings provided by the contractor for each job. This will involve:
- Monthly site visits for each job contracted.
- Be able to identify conditions that could impact completion of construction project.
- Have a keen eye for scope of work completed and estimating work to be completed compared to contract.
- Meeting with onsite representative to review billing, schedule, offsite material, etc.
- Walking each job to verify billing is representative of construction completed.
- Completing report to be submitted to the loan company.
- Attend monthly meetings on-site, if applicable

Salary: Payment will be a fixed amount depending on the project type, location, and requirements. We pay direct deposit or check once a month.
