What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Hardware Technician position at NWOCA?
Reports to: District Services Supervisor and to those on the NBEC organizational chart to whom that position reports.
Job Objective: Performs troubleshooting and maintenance activities on network and computer system components as part of the NWOCA program.
Minimum Qualifications: Working knowledge of Windows and MAC operating systems and a mechanical aptitude for fixing equipment.
- Position requires travel in a specified region.

- Performs maintenance of network and computer system peripheral components as assigned by the assigned district.
- Upholds board policies and follows administrative guidelines/procedures.
- Fields all tech support requests and phone calls in a pleasant, helping manner.
- Maintaining district technology inventory, including software licensing
- Respects privacy. Maintains the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
- Keeps current with technology, workplace innovations, and obtains relevant training that support job functions.

- Serves as an information resource to the district.
- Assists users in accessing and utilizing NWOCA program resources effectively.
- Maintenance of a current inventory of district assets and specific supplies.
- User training as assigned.
- Performs hardware and software testing as directed by district Technology Coordinator.
- Cooperates with all NBEC and district personnel as well as with the public.
- Pursues personal growth opportunities to enhance performance and advance organizational goals
- Strives to develop rapport and serves as a positive role model for others.
- Maintains a professional appearance. Wears work attire appropriate for the position.
