What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychometrist position at NWRTW - Northwest Return to Work?
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in psychology or closely related field with emphasis on tests and measurement, or;
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or social science plus two years of experience in psychological testing, or;
- Two years of experience as a Psychometrist I, or equivalent education/experience.
- Specialized training in psychometrics and assessment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to evaluate and elicit cooperation from patients with cognitive, behavioral, and psychiatric problems.
- Comfortable working with adults with diverse needs.
- Highly organized, excellent attention to detail, and proficient in score calculation and data transfer.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Open to learning new tests and areas of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and score standardized and specialized psychological tests under the general direction of a neuropsychologist.
- Assess client's response to test conditions and adapt testing procedures as necessary.
- Evaluate behavior of individuals being tested and recommend additions or deletions of tests.
- Troubleshoot difficult testing situations and administer non-general adult testing battery tests.
- Participate in weekly meetings to discuss findings and engage in a collaborative, interdisciplinary practice.
- Perform duties of Psychometrist I and related duties as required.
