NX Automotive Logistics - South Carolina (NXAL - SC) Operations Departments operate in a warehouse or a manufacturing environment, and associates are subject to moderate amounts of dust, dirt, and odors, primarily produced by packaging materials and the operation of propane-powered forklifts, as well as noise primarily produced by production equipment. Temperatures during the year will vary. Frequently operate a computer, read, write, and interact with others in person, over the phone, and via other devices. They move about within the facility and may travel to other locations.
Production/Warehouse Job Description:
1st Shift Production/Warehouse Associate
NX Automotive Logistics - South Carolina (NXAL - SC) is looking for production/warehouse associates to join our team!
Production/ Warehouse Associate Roles and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a safety-first attitude following all company safety policies.
- All Production/WH associates must wear all proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Receive incoming inventory items and stocks in proper locations.
- Pick and pack inventory items according to the production schedule and supplier specifications.
- Load, unload and ship inventory items according to the production schedule and supplier specifications.
- Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles, including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc., to fulfill business/customer needs.
- Report any problems or concerns immediately to leadership.
- Report any suggestions for improvements on a process to improve quality/safety within the job.
- Maintain working knowledge of production systems and perform various tasks within the system.
- Follow all proper Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow 6s standards and keep a clean and safe working environment in specified areas/departments.
- Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently, squat, stand, walk, twist, and bend consistently for 10 hours or more.
Production/ Warehouse Associate Qualifications:
- Ability to gain knowledge of warehousing and transportation functions.
- Ability to work with others, displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
- Possess traits of reliability and dependability.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
- PIV equipment experience is preferred.
- Ability to be trained and learn job processes in a timely manner.
- Ability to learn computer applications and use scanners in order to meet business/customer demands/requirements.
