About NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc. (NXAL)
NXAL operates in warehouse and manufacturing environments where conditions may include moderate dust, dirt, and odors from packaging materials and propane-powered forklifts. Noise levels vary due to production equipment, and temperatures fluctuate throughout the year. Supervisors frequently use computers, communicate via phone and in person, move within the facility, and may travel to other locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safety-first work environment for all Associates.
- Oversee assigned area/shift to ensure safe and proper operations, in adherence to ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards.
- Lead and support Team Leaders to ensure that customer/site requirements are met.
- Manage and adjust the staffing to ensure that daily and fluctuating production schedules are met.
- Maximize quality and productivity by understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each process and evaluating performance variances to identify root cause and corrective action and summarize in 4 box formats.
- Effectively communicate SOPs, convey key information during pre-shift meetings and ensure appropriate shift tie-ins.
- Ensure that associates have proper access to the necessary tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to perform their assigned duties and that the tools are routinely inspected and maintained.
- Track and present performance metrics related to SEQCDM.
- Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced.
- Provide a professional working environment.
- Ability to travel between different work locations as needed.
- When necessary, this position will be required to perform other functions as needed to meet the company’s and/or our customer's requests/demands.
Qualifications
- Current Team Leader or have at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of material service, warehousing and transportation functions.
- Familiarity with production and administrative software applications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage one’s own time and the time of others.
- Ability to motivate & direct people as they work, identifying the best person for the job
