Organizational Description
NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc. (NXAL) Operations Departments operate in a warehouse, or a manufacturing
environment and associates are subject to moderate amounts of dust, dirt, and odors, primarily produced by packaging materials and the operation of propane-powered forklifts as well as noise primarily produced by production equipment. Temperatures during the year will vary. Supervisors frequently operate a computer, read, write and interact with others in person, over the phone and via other devices. They move around within the facility and may travel to other locations.
Job Summary:
The Team Leader reports to the Supervisor of their department and is responsible for carrying out all day-to-day tasks per department. The Team Leader is to directly supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the associates in their department and help out wherever needed. Team Leaders learn all processes in their department, cover for vacation, and report any incidents to the Supervisor when needed.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a safety-first attitude following all company safety policies/procedures.
- Have knowledge and understanding of all NXAL company policies and procedures and ensure that all are followed by associates within your designated area.
- Assign duties to area associates to ensure daily functions/production schedules and business/customer needs/requirements are met.
- Work with PIV equipment including but not limited to forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks, etc.
- Review work of associates throughout all process to ensure that it is performed correctly and completed in an efficient/timely/safe manner.
- Have knowledge and understanding of NXAL ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards and ensure that they are followed by associates within your assigned area.
- Have knowledge/understanding of all area specific computer systems and working with MS Office systems in order to complete all daily requirements/business needs.
- Provide effective and appropriate training to department associates and AE’s.
- Collaborate with associates and management to solve work-related problems.
- Fill in for associates on process when needed or when on breaks to ensure production/business needs are still met.
- When necessary, this position may require extra overtime and may require performance of other functions as required to meet company/customer needs/requirements.
Qualifications
- Possess knowledge of material service, warehousing and transportation functions.
- Possess traits of reliability and dependability.
- PIV experience required
- Ability to create positive moral and effective teamwork.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
- Ability to manage conflict and intervene when needed in associate conflicts.
- Flexibility in order to perform other job functions and work other hours, if necessary, to complete daily tasks and meet business/customer requests/needs.
