Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated CAD Technician with a Civil Engineering background to join our team in a full-time, in-person position based in either our Nampa or McCall, Idaho office. This role focuses on preparation of machine control models and supporting various aspects of surveying and construction projects. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects in road and highway construction, residential and commercial developments, on both the engineering and surveying sides.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of 3D Models for use with Machine Controlled Equipment
- Plan Preparation Drafting
- Takeoff Computations
- Direct experience in the CAD preparation of numerous types of land and transportation development plans
- Familiarity with Machine Control, Topcon, Leica, and/or Trimble, a plus.
Requirements:
- 3 years experience with Civil CAD programs (Civil3D, InRoads, Carlson Civil or similar) including creating surfaces, road profiles, grading, earthwork computation; transportation and land development industry experience strongly preferred
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where limited information exists
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures
- Sound knowledge of plan production fundamentals, and ability to interpret architectural and engineering documents
- Highly motivated self-starter with driven personality having a focus on quality and excellence in work product, and willing to take on new challenges
- Exceptional attention to detail.
