What are the responsibilities and job description for the AMHS Equipment Technician position at NXP Semiconductors?
The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in Chandler Fab Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) area.
Required
The technician position is responsible for effectively executing tasks that are required to maintain primarily the toolsets within one of the following groups:
Factory Track System (Brooks)
Cars used on Track system
Box Stockers
Reticle Stockers (Brooks Automation)
Associated Equipment : variety of computer systems, Variety of Windows and Dos including SCSI, IDE and SATA and Solid state drives. Knowledge of these systems would be a great asset.
EQUIPMENT GROUPS
The tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems, and demonstrate problem solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others.
The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.
The position requires working compressed shifts, days or nights.
Education
AA, AS, AAS, in electronics or other industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.
Experience
Specific knowledge of semiconductor maintenance job functions is required. Prior experience working on track systems not necessary but would be a plus.
