The Benefits Analyst role supports the U.S. benefits team in the design, development, and implementation of the employee benefits programs. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, health and welfare, wellness, employee time off programs, and retirement plans. The US Benefits Analyst will also provide excellent customer service to employees and HR team members.

Tasks & Responsibilities
Assist in the design and administration of all U.S. benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, EAP, COBRA, leave of absence, and wellness programs
- Serve as a liaison to insurance carriers regarding claim problems, issues, and concerns
- Support implementation of benefit functionality in the HR systems, test system functionality to ensure accuracy and prepare ongoing systems reports on benefit programs
- Support and maintain overall benefits content on NXP’s Corporate Intranet, HR shared folder, HR website including plan documents, benefit summaries, benefit policies
- Assist in compliance efforts with the program managers – audits and reconciliations
- Participate in market data surveys in order to determine company’s competitive position in employee benefits
- Reconcile benefits billing statements and conduct monthly audits to identify and correct discrepancies
- Produce reports and analyses, as needed both on an ongoing and ad hoc basis
- Assist with open enrollment, including working with the vendor on setting up benefits enrollment system, data accuracy of benefit information, event planning, program renewals, communications, etc.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience working on a Benefits team
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent excel skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy for managing large volumes of data and lookup functions
- Experience with at least one HRIS system, Workday experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Payroll systems (ADP preferred) including pre- and post-tax deductions, goal amounts and a fundamental understanding of income tax implications attributable to employee benefits
- Ability to work in a professional manner with all levels of the employee and manager population as well as outside vendors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Practice a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality
