What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metrology/AMHS Equipment Engineer position at NXP Semiconductors?
Develop and implement operational and maintenance procedures for electronic equipment and systems. Monitor, control, and qualify state of the art 200mm semiconductor equipment in Metrology/AMHS (Automated Material Handling system). Analyze, find root cause, and design prevention of errors of factory systems and/or equipment. Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost. Install and commission manufacturing equipment and drive high uptime of that equipment by optimizing the parts and procedures used. Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions including defect troubleshooting. Determine safe procedures, perform, and teach others how to perform preventive maintenance activities by training junior engineers and maintenance technicians.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field.

- Basic industrial Safety assessments (Risk Assessment Analysis, Lockout Tag out, Fall protection, PPE)
- Programming: i.e. Python, C , Matlab
- Mechanical troubleshooting;
- Root Cause Analysis;
- Cost analysis and improvement
- Solidworks; and
