Data Protection & Cybersecurity Associate (3-5 Years) – Multiple Locations
Our client, a premier law firm, is seeking an experienced Data Protection & Cybersecurity Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join their Privacy and Cybersecurity Group's Data Protection and Cybersecurity Team. This position is open in the firm's Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Irvine, New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Diego, and San Francisco offices.
This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with strong privacy and data security experience to work with national and regional clients on both proactive compliance and reactive cybersecurity incident response matters. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of data privacy laws, regulatory investigations, and incident response management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Advise clients on data security incidents, regulatory investigations, and compliance with security-related legal and contractual obligations
- Provide counsel on state, federal, and international data breach notification requirements
- Defend clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions related to privacy and security
- Manage complex, fast-paced workloads, prioritizing tasks and anticipating risks
- Collaborate with technical teams and forensic investigators, distilling complex technical issues for business and legal stakeholders
