Our client, an Am Law 200 law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate or Of Counsel with substantial Employment Litigation experience to join their Houston office. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 5 or more years of experience to engage in significant client-facing work and develop their practice under the mentorship of accomplished partners. Responsibilities :
Case Management : Independently handle a diverse caseload of employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Trial and Arbitration : Lead and participate in trials and arbitrations, demonstrating proficiency in courtroom procedures and strategies.
Legal Drafting : Prepare and respond to pleadings, manage discovery processes, draft and argue motions, and compose other essential litigation documents.
Depositions and Mediations : Conduct and defend depositions, and actively engage in mediations to facilitate dispute resolution.
Discrimination and Restrictive Covenant Issues : Advise and represent clients in cases involving discrimination claims and matters related to restrictive covenants.
Qualifications :
Educational Background : Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Bar Admission : Active membership in the Texas Bar.
Experience : A minimum of 5 years of employment litigation experience, with a proven track record in trial and arbitration settings.
Skills : Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical abilities; adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Attributes : Self-motivated, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team; committed to personal growth and exemplary client service.

Compensation and Benefits :
The firm offers a competitive salary, with the annual compensation for this role being $230,000 - $260,000. The exact figure will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related considerations as permitted by law.
