Our client is seeking an experienced civil senior project engineer to join their Lakewood, CO office. This position offers opportunities for civil design throughout the Front Range of Colorado as well as nationally. A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong technical, project management, and client communication skills. Examples of Responsibilities :
Assist in master planning and conceptual design.
Assist in fee determination and proposal preparation.
Assist with monitoring design budgets and project schedules.
Serve as point-of-contact with clients, contractors, and other design disciplines.
Manage multiple engineering projects from the start of design through completion of construction.
Manage and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.
Utilize AutoCAD / Civil3D to design, detail, and coordinate medium to large size projects within time allotments and project budgets.
Attend project meetings during design and construction.
Provide quality-control check of work produced.
Provide project construction administration support, including shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations.
Monitor project budgets and review and / or approve invoicing to clients.
Participate in collection and account receivable efforts.
Required Qualifications :
Minimum of 7 years' experience in site development.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum.
Commitment to client services and a team-based approach.
Attention to detail, delivering quality work products, and excellent client services.
Ability to work with a wide variety of clients, regulators, and authorities.
Proven marketing / business development skills.
Possession of a PE license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months.
Desired Qualifications :
Experience using AutoCAD / Civil3D to produce civil construction documents.
Strong knowledge of working with municipal, commercial, and other related site development projects.
