Democracy Now! seeks a skilled Camera Operator to ensure high-quality visual standards for our live TV news broadcast. The Camera Operator will work with the Production & Facilities Manager and Technical Director to ensure all camera shots meet broadcast standards and will facilitate guest and host appearances by managing microphone setups and providing floor direction during the live broadcast. The Camera Operator reports to the Production & Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities
- Shade and operate in-studio robotic & manual cameras.
- Monitor and adjust blocking and framing for hosts and guests during live TV news broadcast.
- Act as floor manager for hosts and guests during live TV news broadcast.
- Monitor placement of studio set pieces.
- Assist with on set troubleshooting and diagnostics as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
