The New York Council on Problem Gambling is a not-for-profit organization with regional offices across the state dedicated to raising public awareness about problem gambling and advocating for support services and treatment for those affected. Maintaining a neutral stance on gambling, the Council is governed by a Board of Directors.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Program Manager at the NY Council on Problem Gambling in Syracuse, NY. The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various projects related to problem gambling.
- Receiving all calls referred to from the NYS HOPEline and direct calls from the PGRC
- Screening and referral to appropriate services including, but not limited to, crisis care, problem gambling treatment, financial services, and self-help support
- Support services and community coordination
- Community outreach, education and public awareness related to service and program awareness
- Communicating the goals of the gambling outreach, awareness, and prevention initiatives to a broad range of constituents through small meetings, scheduled conversations, and public speaking in large forums, participation in community events and other settings
- Referral source relationship development and maintenance
- Ongoing program planning and development
- Program reporting including contact data, program outreach activity and outcomes data
- Program Managers report to the PGRC Director.
- OASAS provider system and engagement, recruitment, development and support.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree preferred.
Experience working in the problem gambling field and experience in helping profession preferred.
Salary : $58,000 - $60,000
