Trainer – Residential Solar Sales and Canvassing Teams
We are seeking a dynamic individual with a background in Solar Sales for our Trainer opening. The Trainer will design, implement, and lead training programs for our growing residential solar company. The trainer will work closely with our inside and outside sales teams, as well as our canvass teams, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of inside sales, outside sales, and canvass teams.
- Conduct weekly ride-along with team members to observe, provide feedback, and refine training content, especially during the initial phase of employment.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to identify performance gaps and provide targeted training solutions.
- Facilitate onboarding sessions for new hires to ensure smooth integration into the company.
- Continuously evaluate and update training materials to stay aligned with industry trends and company goals.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to improve their effectiveness and confidence.
- Primarily an office-based role with regular field engagement to ensure practical, hands-on learning.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in solar sales.
- Training and coaching solar sales teams.
- Strong understanding of sales techniques and canvassing strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with regular travel for ride-along and field training sessions.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to develop training materials, including presentations, guides, and role-play scenarios.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and effective training methodologies.
- Experience using CRM or other sales management tools.
