Now Hiring: Cashier/Sales Associate – Downtown Nyberg's ACE Hardware location
Seeking a customer-focused team member to provide exceptional service, process transactions accurately, and assist shoppers. Be part of a team that makes a difference!
** This position offers 10–15 hours per week. Candidate will work two weeknight / evening shifts (store closes at 7 PM) and every other weekend **
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Ring up purchases accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment securely.
- Assist customers in finding products and making recommendations based on their needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Answer customer questions and address any concerns they may have.
- Promote current sales, promotions, and events to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness as needed.
- Uphold company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, returns, and exchanges.
Requirements:
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Education/Training:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
Prior cashier experience is preferred, and customer service experience is highly valued.
Physical Demands:
This role involves standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), and occasional climbing.
