New York, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 4/13/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/13/2025
Launched in 2015, IDNYC is the largest and most successful municipal ID program in the country!

IDNYC is a card for all New Yorkers, regardless of their immigration status. IDNYC benefits all city residents, including those from some of our most vulnerable communities – the unhoused, youth, the formerly incarcerated, and others who may have difficulty obtaining a government-issued photo ID.

IDNYC is recruiting for three (3) Community Associates to function as Enrollment Specialists.

The IDNYC card is free for all New Yorkers. Enrollment Specialists will be responsible for the enrollment of applicants at walk-in centers throughout the city. He/she will meet with the applicants, review all necessary documents, access the IDNYC enrollment database, and gather all necessary information from the applicant while completing the enrollment process. Enrollment will also include taking a photo of the applicant and scanning all documents into the database. As the Enrollment Specialist will be dealing with highly sensitive documents, confidentiality and discretion is important to the role.

Reporting directly to the Intake Supervisor, IDNYC, the Enrollment Specialists will:

  • Review applicant's documents for completeness; ensure IDNYC applicants have all

necessary paperwork and documentation required to complete the IDNYC enrollment process.

  • Notify applicants of required or missing documentation and inform applicants of how to obtain

official documents from local, state and or federal government agencies, if necessary.

  • Navigate the enrollment database; scan all authenticated official documents into the Municipal

I D database; data-enter all demographic and relevant applicant information necessary to

process the completed application; and ensure that all information is entered accurately.

  • Use specialized equipment to review the authenticity of documents presented.
  • Ensure that all original documents submitted by applicants are reviewed using only the

designated, specialized equipment and process adhering to strict confidentiality protocols

and procedures.

  • Take photos of applicants for the IDNYC card and gather electronic signatures utilizing

Municipal ID program cameras and equipment; and be responsible for the care and

maintenance of such equipment.

  • Create, organize, schedule and present information to community audiences via public

speaking (conducting information sessions and setting up information tables), flyers,
