The Department of Design & Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is currently seeking Inspectors to join our Construction Management Unit in various boroughs. Successful candidates will report to an Engineer-In-Charge and 0/ or Resident Engineer and conduct technical inspections of construction, repair, and maintenance projects. These projects will involve roadways, sewers, pavements, and sidewalks. Specific responsibilities include assessing the grading, paving, and repaving of streets, connections to house sewers, retaining walls, and the maintenance of water, sewer, and utility manholes.

A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university and one year of fulltime satisfactory experience in civil engineering work; or

Construction knowledge relevant to infrastructure work (i.e., roadway, sewer, and/or water main) 4. Familiarity with NYC DOT, NYS DOT, NYC DEP specifications, MUTCD, and AASHTO standards 5. Comprehensive understanding of the NYC infrastructure system and current engineering practices 6. Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling and Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credential (preferred) 7. Valid driver's license (required) 8. Personal vehicle (preferred)
