The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County (“BXDA”) is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. By “Pursuing Justice with Integrity,” the BXDA places a focus on assistance for crime victims while simultaneously ensuring fairness to defendants. Moreover, the BXDA aims to balance the need to seek appropriate punishment for certain crimes while recognizing when punitive measures do not adequately advance justice. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Proofreading and cite checking legal documents
- Drafting Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities
- Formatting and preparing documents for filing in compliance with court rules
- Maintaining a working knowledge of court rules
- Preparing exhibits and appendices for legal documents
- Maintaining internal digital case files
- Providing litigation support to Assistant District Attorneys Assist
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualification Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
- A baccalaureate degree or associate’s degree preferred. - Familiarity with general court services - Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with court staff and judges - Excellent time management skills Strong desire and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Familiarity with Westlaw or Lexis preferred but not required - Candidate must have excellent organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills - Strong proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat (MS TEAMS and ZOOM) - Strong collaborative and problem-solving skills - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work independently and effectively under deadlines
