Job Duties :
- Perform all duties of a physician assistant within the assigned service
- Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team including the attending physician to develop and implement the therapeutic plan of care for a group of patients and ensure communication with family members.
- Plans and organizes care to meet individual patient needs and to ensure appropriate clinical resource utilization per protocols, pathways, and other means.
- Responsible for filling in should last minute absences / tardiness occur if no other coverage an be secured.
- Develops and secures approval of protocols, standards, policies and procedures.
- Monitors compliance of established protocols, policies and procedures of the hospital
- Participates in various committees as assigned.
