Job Description


Purpose of Position:

Under the supervision of the DON, the Coordinating Manager carries out and performs managerial activities in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital. The Coordinating Manager performs functions to achieve and maintain seamless operations of the Nursing Recruitment and Nursing Administration Departments. Assists in the planning, controlling and coordination of administrative and office operation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greets and directs visitors and personnel entering and exiting the Nursing Administration Office.
  • Answers telephone calls/emails in a timely manner; records/delivers messages appropriately.
  • Creates/submits PRFs/ARFs for separated employees (resignations, retirements, transfers, terminations and deaths) and monitors their status throughout the approval process.
  • Maintains the Position Control Database updated and accurate at all times; avoids duplications and ensures that vacancies are allotted accordingly.
  • Works collaboratively with HR, Finance, OHS and Nursing Informatics for processing of all new hires.
  • Creates/posts internal; postings for approved vacancies.
  • Secures and disseminates resumes to the appropriate departments.
  • Coordinates and schedules candidates for interviews with the appropriate departmental panels.
  • Submits interview documents for accepted candidates to HR and Finance.
  • Manages transfer requests to ensure policy adherence (internal and external).
  • Sends denial letters to candidates who are not selected for a vacancy of an internal transfer.
  • Prepares statistical reports for the DON.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or designee.

Minimum Qualifications


1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling, and three (3) years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment, two (2) years of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in such occupations as physical, occupational, inhalation, speech and audiology therapy or as Medical/Laboratory Technologist, Microbiologist (various specialties), Chemist (biochemist), Radiation and X-Ray Technician or three (3) years of responsible level experience in business management systems or general administration including two (2) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
2. A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in the disciplines listed in (1), and two (2) years of full-time experience as listed in (1), plus one (1) year experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in occupations as listed in (1); or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
