What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handyman / Handyperson (Union) - Residential Apartment Building position at NYC Real Estate Developer?
We are a real estate developer, owner and manager in NYC. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Handyperson to join our team of union building staff.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing maintenance and repairs in units
- Installing / repairing appliances
- Providing electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs
- Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. snow removal)
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
Skills
- Experience as handyman, or other comparable experience
- Experience with electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Apt in problem-solving
- Attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.84 - $29.74 per hour

Experience:
- HVAC - specifically PTAC units: 1 year (Preferred)
- Basic Electrical (fixtures, switches, etc): 2 years (Required)

- Plumbing: 2 years (Required)
- Multifamily NYC handyman: 2 years (Required)
