The Marketing Department is responsible for supporting and promoting all tourism initiatives throughout the organization, inclusive of digital marketing, graphic design, video production, global market support, events & trade shows, partnerships, and advertising.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Media, the Marketing and Media Coordinator will assist team members with day-to-day efforts and coordination of projects and activities, including but not limited to:
- Out of Home Media Request Coordination with City Agencies, Creative Operations and Media to ensure assets are released and trafficked to the correct OOH channels according to spec and on deadline
- Global Tourism Campaign support for all international and domestic long-haul travel partnerships (airlines, tour operators) including:
- Trafficking deliverables for approvals
- Communication with external partners
- Assisting with the aggregation of data from paid and owned media channels
- Filing and tracking invoices for marketing and media teams
- General departmental support, including meeting prep, scheduling, note-taking and recap reports
- Research and fact-finding
- Opportunity to participate in other companywide events and initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing
- 2 years of experience in media buying/planning or marketing
- Knowledge of the travel and tourism industry a plus
- Facility with marketing metrics, social platforms and media assets
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, project management software such as Basecamp
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with other internal teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- A strong sense of accountability, attention to detail and the capacity to multitask
- Passion for the five boroughs of New York City
