- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of the facility, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building upkeep.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns and facility wear and tear.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, infection control protocols, and industry standards.
- Assist with groundskeeping duties, including landscaping, snow removal, and exterior maintenance.
- Move and assemble furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Support emergency preparedness procedures, including fire safety and evacuation plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in maintenance, facility management, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety procedures is a plus.
