Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook/Dietary Aide to join our team! The Cook/Dietary Aide will be responsible for preparing meals for our residents and ensuring that dietary needs are met in accordance with our standards and regulations. This position requires flexibility with shifts, including morning, evening, and weekend hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in compliance with dietary requirements and meal plans.
- Serve meals to residents and assist with dining room service.
- Ensure food safety standards are maintained during preparation and storage.
- Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas, including sanitizing surfaces and utensils.
- Assist with inventory and ordering of food supplies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the dietary team to meet the needs of residents, including any special dietary restrictions.
- Help with other kitchen duties as assigned, such as dishwashing and meal prep.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and family members regarding meal needs and preferences.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food service is preferred.
- Ability to follow dietary guidelines and meal plans.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with residents.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
