GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Logistics Haulers will be held to a very high standard of safety, cleanliness, accuracy and professionalism at all times. Logistics Hauler will be held accountable for their job tasks when not completed timely and/or when not completed correctly. Logistics Hauler will be considered independent floor leaders while ensuring job tasks are completed timely and safely while assisting production requirements.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Support all manufacturing operations while understanding that professional conduct is expected at all times. Adhere to all safety policies set by Nylene safety team and/or any OSHA requirements. Report any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. If employee is able to correct those unsafe conditions those must be completed. Employee must be able to work independently and complete job tasks in a time efficient manner with minimum supervision. Continuously monitor and maintain Compound dunnage levels (boxes, pads, lids, pallets, bags and foil). Maintain all areas of work using the 6S Lean Manufacturing philosophy.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Load outbound freight. Unload incoming freight. Blend materials according to production schedule. Cycle Count materials ensuring inventory accuracy. Relabel rework work orders provided from scheduling. Process any returns from customers. Stage any truckloads and/or LTL's that are required. Communicate with incoming shift and provide information required.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education: High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.
Experience: 2 years of logistics fork lift operations. 2 years of warehouse and/or manufacturing operations.
Other: OSHA forklift certification preferred. Nylene forklift training accepted. Previous warehouse management systems preferred
KEY COMPETENCIES
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
Ability to operate a forklift safely in high traffic areas while not posing a safety risk to others.
Strong organizational and computer skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds. Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms and horns of forklifts
SHIFT: Sunday-Thursday 2pm-10:30pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
