minimum qualifications for this position. The qualifications are:
A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 24 qualifying semester credit hours*.
Transportation Analyst Trainee 2
A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 24 qualifying semester credit hours* AND
Either 1. One year of qualifying experience** OR
A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 24 qualifying semester credit hours* AND
Either 1. Two years of qualifying experience** OR
management, coastal policy, computer modeling/science, economics, electrical engineering, energy
engineering, energy management, energy policy, engineering, environmental law, environmental

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for analyzing data relative to financial Oracle Primavera Portfolio (OPPM) system
- Coordinate regional review of Municipal or Agency submissions to NYSDOT including State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) and Site Plan Reviews
- Coordinating project data and entry into NYSDOT databases
- Preparing Phase Authorization requests
- Preparing STIP amendments
- Developing traffic projections and highway capacity analysis
- Managing reviews and reimbursements for funding to municipalities
- Participation in the review of regional transportation studies

- Qualifying Experience is directly related to highways or transportation in either planning, engineering management, systems analysis or quantitative analysis of transportation or Highway systems and must have included direct responsibility for the preparation of written material such as narrative reports, letters of memoranda documenting the accomplishments and/or supervision of such activity. Additionally, this professional experience must have included one or more of the following: the identification and documentation of transportation problems and needs; the inventory, data analysis and description of highway or other transportation facilities, conditions or performance; the analysis and evaluation of existing or proposed transportation services including plans, programs, projects and policies; the development and/or coordination of transportation plans or policies; the development of projects for transportation facilities and/or service improvements (including traffic engineering or safety improvements); supervision and coordination of local transportation planning programs; the development and/or evaluation of transportation planning methods or models or program techniques or strategies
