What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at NYS Funeral Directors Association?
The NYS Funeral Directors Association has an immediate opening for a Receptionist in Colonie. This position will join a team that is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members in a manner that is always respectful and courteous.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answering and directing all incoming telephone calls
- Greeting members and guests upon arrival
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Purchasing office supplies
- Managing and maintaining supply inventory
- Daily photocopying and faxing projects
- Assisting with orders for shipment via UPS
- Assisting with major mailings, including photocopying, collating, stuffing envelopes and posting
- Assisting our PrePlan department by processing end-of-day mailings, including confirms, checks and select pay invoices
- Monthly processing of PrePlan statements
- Assisting with annual convention preparation, board meetings, training sessions and any other events as needed.
- Process Epays several times per week as part of the processing team.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook and general computer navigation
- Strong phone and communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- 1 to 5 years administrative experience preferred
Position is full time, in person. Starting salary is $18 - $21 based on experience & background. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, paid holidays and a positive work environment.
