Duties Description
The Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 will be assigned to the Diversity, Talent Acquisition, and Retention Office. Equal Opportunity Specialists work on various projects and initiatives, including:
- Researching and developing new opportunities to recruit, retain, and promote a diverse workforce.
- Developing networks, both internally and externally, to identify key talent and build ongoing pipelines for a diverse workforce.
- Promoting employment opportunities at job fairs and college visits, as well as engagement with non-traditional and diverse communities.
- Developing relevant programming and communications to enhance employees’ cultural awareness.
- Creating reports and analyzing data related to agency diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity programs.
- Event planning such as employee engagement initiatives, NY State Fair, and Meet & Greets.
- Assist in new employee orientation and on boarding.
Minimum Qualifications
