Sign on Bonus Available!As a Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Trainee, or Mental Health Professional in Nystrom & Associates Community Based division, you'll work in our ARMHS (Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services) program. Mental Health Practitioners provide community-based rehabilitative services to clients ages 18 . We are all about helping!The purpose of the programs is to help individuals who have a mental illness function independently in their homes or places of residence. Services are provided in four areas : Basic Living and Social Skills, Community Intervention, Medication Education and Transitioning to Community Living. We are looking for a compassionate individual who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the clients we serve.In this role, you'll have the opportunity to : Provide culturally responsive mental health skills to clients and / or their families (if working with children) in the home, community, and / or schoolAssist clients in identifying goals for functional improvement and work with them to meet their goalsDesign and implement treatment / intervention in-home reflective of client needsReceive clinical supervision from a qualified staff, and obtain continuing education unitsEmployees pursuing professional licensure are eligible to participate in Nystrom & Associates' Professional Development Track. The Professional Development Track gives early career therapists the opportunity to work as an Outpatient Therapist after 9 months of providing Community-Based services. These qualifications include the following : Hold a Master's degree or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fieldsHold a Bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields AND 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to people with mental illnessCandidates who have completed a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields may qualify and are encouraged to apply regardless of whether they have 2000 hours of experienceHave 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to people with mental illnessMeet the Clinical Trainee requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.06Has completed an accredited graduate program of study to prepare the staff person for independent licensure as a mental health professionalMeet the Mental Health Professional requirements per MN State Statue 245I.04.02Licensed as a LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP in MinnesotaAdditionally, you must meet the following requirements : Desire to work with children and families and / or adults in their homes; this includes walking, stairs, and the ability to crouch, stoop, sit on floors, and stand for periods of timeAbility to work independently; Valid driver's license / auto insurance / reliable vehicle; ability to drive a minimum of a 30-mile radius around primary clinic locationMust be proficient in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic Health Records (EHR)If interested in working with adults, must be able to meet with them during general daytime hours
