In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity To
- Provide culturally responsive mental health skills to children, adolescents and their families in a school setting
- Assist children, adolescents and their families in identifying goals for functional improvement and work with them to meet their goals
- Design and implement treatment/intervention reflective of the child’s needs
- Work collaboratively with the school district, school personnel divisions, and other community-based agencies
- Provide psychoeducation to school staff
- Design and implement therapeutic groups for students
- Receive clinical supervision from a qualified staff, and obtain continuing education units
- Employees pursuing professional licensure are eligible to participate in Nystrom & Associates’ Professional Development Track. The Professional Development Track gives early career therapists the opportunity to work as an Outpatient Therapist after 9 months of providing School-Based services. This track also has a specific focus on continuing education and an emphasis on training and advancement.
